Day Hab/Group Home Visits | Monday - Friday Call to Schedule

Day Hab/Group Home programming is available to outside area agencies and community groups looking to reserve structured gym time for adults within their organization/group.  CLS will plan 1 to 2 hours worth of age-appropriate programming based on the ability levels of each participant.  From aerobic drumming to karaoke cycling to soccer and baseball, group members will get an opportunity to socialize and have a fun workout!  Plan your group outing by calling 515-421-4021. 

EveryBODY Move Now  | Friday @ 10 AM & 1 PM

Through the use of our OptiMusic technology, an audio-visual system that is played by interacting with colored light beams - any movement within the beams triggers a sound. Its adaptability allows our users to move to their own beat and in their own way while following simple and inclusive dance routines and listening to popular, age-appropriate music. 

Fantasy Fitness | Monday @ 10 AM & 1 PM

Ever wanted to be a part of your favorite video game? Here is your chance! CLS has created a series of new games that will turn your favorite virtual experiences into reality! From the classics to new favorites there is something for EveryBODY. No batteries required!

Fitness Favorites | Friday @ 10 AM & 1 PM

Fridays are for fun and this class will only make it better! Showcasing a variety of our music and fitness classes, participants will have a chance to be social while also partaking in some of their favorite Courage League activities!

Inclusive Fitness Training | Monday - Friday Call to Schedule

Our adaptive fitness training brings enhanced mobility, core, balance, and endurance to certain areas of the body while minimizing the risk of injury.  Our CLS staff have been trained in inclusive fitness and have mastered an understanding of exercise precautions, utilizing safe and adapted methods of practice. Fitness training will be delivered in small groups in order to provide semi-individualized training with a workout buddy! 

Jedi Training | Tuesday @ 10 AM & 1 PM and Saturday @ 10:30 AM

It's back from the dark side and better than ever! Participants will be able to let their imaginations soar in a safe and accessible environment. This class is action-packed with all of the training a Jedi needs! The force will be strong with your loved one after this exciting class. 

Just Spin | Tuesday @ 6 PM

So you like to bike? How about dance? We have just the program for you! Just spin incorporates simple dance routines that are easy to follow along with interval training all while using our recumbent and hand bikes.  

Karaoke Cycling | Wednesday @ 10 AM & 1 PM, 6 PM & 6:30 PM

Through the use of our virtual cycling technology, adaptive recumbent bikes, arm cycles and karaoke machine,  our program allows participants of all ability levels to feel the burn while belting out their favorite tunes! 

Mentor/Volunteer Opportunities | Monday - Friday Call to Schedule

Volunteer opportunities that are "just right" for adults with disabilities are limited.  Yet, volunteering is a great way for individuals with disabilities to obtain life skills, gain meaningful experiences, and build self-confidence.  At CLS, we offer adults with special needs an opportunity to serve as a volunteer during our many different programs as well as opportunities for job shadowing and hands-on instruction. As a result, adults involved in this program will meet new people, and grow in stewardship, and as a person! 

Mindful Movement| Saturday @ 10 AM

Yoga is good for everyBODY! Through a combination of adaptive poses and calming techniques our participants will be able to improve their balance, core strength and body awareness.

Open Gym | Monday - Thursday 6:30 PM

Supervised and structured gym time for participants and their families/caregivers, including game options for adults with special needs. Please visit our website or Facebook page for our other weekly gym schedules. 

Rock Band | Monday @ 6 PM

We will utilize adaptive equipment and EXERGAMING technology during this program focused on the gross motor movements associated with sports like soccer, baseball, tennis and field games.  Stay for our 10:30 AM or come early for our 1 PM daily fun & fitness classes in order to get a whole hour worth of fun!

Spin | Thursday @ 6 PM and Saturday at 11 AM

With the help of our virtual cycling system, adaptive recumbent bikes, and arm cycles this program allows participants the opportunity to participate in a fun and engaging cardio workout. Additional exercises and movements will be incorporated with each workout, and don't forget the music.

Sticks | Thursday @ 10 AM & 1 PM

Percussion and fitness clash in this class! Participants will have the opportunity to explore the concept of rhythm while combining the use of drums and other percussion instruments with fun movements and fitness techniques. Drumsticks are just the beginning!

Team Roar! CLS Pom Squad/Dance Party | Wednesday @ 5:30 PM 

Cheer/pom squad for adults with any form of intellectual, behavioral, medical, and/or physical disability who love to cheer!  The Team Roar! Pom Squad offers friends, fun, music, dancing, cheering, and the opportunity to perform at community sporting events. Ask us about our Special Olympics Cheer/Dance Opportunities!

Club Sports

In today's world of fast-pace, competitive sports, youth with special needs are often sidelined due to risk of injury or simply "not being able to keep up".  Seasonal club play was created to get these same youth with a passion or interest in sports off the bench and IN the game, while practicing safety and playing at their own pace! This option of play provides participants who have had success at the recreational level an opportunity to step up their game!  Sessions will include 15-20 minutes of drill and station work, with the remaining time allotted for playing the sport. 

Power Sports | Monday @ 6:30 PM

Participation in power wheelchair sports has been on the rise in recent years, across the country and here at CLS. We are excited to continue to offer year-round sports options including: soccer, basketball, and pool! Interested in joining Courage League's tournament power soccer team, the Dominators? Floor Hockey | Tuesday @ 6:30 PM

All of the excitement of hockey without the ice! Participants will have the opportunity to learn basic floor hockey skills and apply them in controlled scrimmages during each session in a fun and safe environment!

Soccer | Wednesday @ 6:30 PM

Adaptive soccer league for EveryBODY! Skills such as dribbling, kicking, and teamwork will be practiced prior to a controlled scrimmage.

Standing & Wheelchair Basketball | Thursday @ 6:30 PM

Play-to-score basketball club with opportunities for 3-on-3 or 5-on-5 basketball scrimmages.  Sessions will consist of 15-20 minutes of drill and station work and end with controlled scrimmaging where players will be able to apply their newly or previously acquired basketball skills into a real game situation.
