We offer opportunities for youth and adults to participate in basketball skills or team play. Participants will compete at the regional competition for a chance to make to the Mid-Winter Tournament held each March in Iowa City.

Cheer & Dance

Opportunities to participate in the Special Olympics Cheer & Dance competition are offered each year. Participants practice the routine for competition each Wednesday evening from 5:30-6PM at our Urbandale facility. Registration takes place early 2019 for the Mid-Winter Tournament in March. In past years participants have also had the opportunity to perform at various local sporting events.

Each Spring we offer the opportunity for kids and adults to practice their tennis skills. Participants are able to compete in tennis skills, singles, or unified tennis events. Each year the tennis competitions are held at the Special Olympics Iowa Summer Games hosted by Iowa State University.

Unified Golf

Each Fall we offer the chance for participants to compete in the Special Olympics Unified Golf Tournament held each September at Jester Park Golf Course. Participants practice each week and then compete with a Unified Partner for 9 holes of golf in the tournament. Participants are able to find a partner of their own or one will be provided for them.
